On March 28, 2024 in the Kyrgyz-German Institute of Ecosystems and Biodiversity Conservation of the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin (KNAU) with the participation of the management, headed by the Rector Academician Nurgaziev R.Z. met with the project manager of the project “Regional management and value creation for biodiversity conservation and ecosystem services in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan ‘ALMA-KIKA’ – on the example of endangered species of wild fruits” Professor Matthias Kramer from Germany. The meeting was also attended by representatives of NGOs: General Director of the Association of Forest and Land Users of Kyrgyzstan Burkhanov Aitkul and Director of the Public Foundation “Jalal Abad Regional Rural Counseling Service” Zhoibolotov Syrgabek Toktosunovich.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues on the implementation of the second phase of the project “ALMA-KIKA”.
As a result of the meeting the parties signed the Agreement on cooperation by realization of the joint project sponsored by the Federal Environmental Fund of Germany (DBU).
